Call for Workshop Proposals

The 2021 Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) organizers invite faculty and staff to submit abstracts for workshop presentations during the event on Friday, February 26 (3:30-4:15 p.m.) or Saturday, February 27 (10:15-11 a.m.). Workshop presentations are 45 minutes long, and in the past have covered topics such as graduate school application tips, how to get more out of your research, funding/applying for fellowships, and more. Other areas of interest include conducting research during COVID, self-care during quarantine, and leveraging your research experience on your resume. We are open to other applicable topics of your choosing, though we encourage proposals that are applicable to students from all majors. There will be two workshop sessions and workshops may run once or twice based on the number of proposals received.

Submit your Workshop Proposal by December 11th. Have any questions? Email

FURC 2021: February 26 and 27, 2021

The Florida Undergraduate Research Association (FURA) and Florida State University (FSU) are excited to announce the Virtual 2021 Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC 2021)!

FURC is one of the nation's largest multidisciplinary research conferences, open to all undergraduates in the State of Florida who want to present their research in poster format. In addition to providing student researchers relevant conference presentation experience, FURC offers superb opportunities to network with fellow researchers and graduate programs across the country, as well as workshops and other professional development experiences. For FURC 2021, FURA and FSU conference organizers will use the virtual conference management application, Whova, which promises an informative, engaging, and immersive undergraduate research experience.
