

Hi. I am a Full
Professor of Computer Science in the School of Computing at the
University of North Florida. I joined the School of Computing as an
Associate Professor in the College of
Computing, Engineering, and Construction
at UNF in 1999. Prior to this I was an Assistant Professor at Grand Valley State University in
Michigan.
I graduated with my Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering (1993) from the
University of
Louisville. I also have an M.S. in Electrical Engineering (1990) from the
University of Louisville. I have a B.Engg. in Electronics Engineering (1987)
from the University of Bombay. I am active in
consulting and technology training .
I am a Senior Member of the Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Besides the IEEE, I am a
member of several professional organizations. I
am the Faculty Advisor to the UNF
chapter of the Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) Computer Science Honor
Society. I received the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award
from the University of North Florida Provost and President in Fall
2003. I am the Fidelity National Financial
Distinguished Professor in Computer and Information Sciences at the
University of North Florida. I was voted Students' Choice Outstanding
Professor,
College of Computing Sciences and Engineering, Department of Computer and
Information Sciences, in December 2001. I have been selected as an OFE
Faculty Fellow at the University of North Florida for the 2005-2006
academic year. I have 68 refereed research
publications in journals and international conferences. I am listed
in the Who's
Who In Engineering Higher Education. and the Who's Who in America,
2009 edition.
