ANT 3212 Peoples & Cultures of the World

About the course...
Anthropology is the scientific study of human cultural and biological evolution; in this course, we focus on culture, the shared, patterned ways of being in the world that humans have created for themselves.

Important Information: This course covers topics that some people have strong feelings about, such as human evolution, race and racism, human sexuality and sexual behavior, politics, and religion. I will assume that, if you register for the course, you are ready and willing to examine such issues from a scientific anthropological perspective, and perhaps allow your preconceptions about human nature and culture to be challenged.
