Here are some places to look forhelp in using words for writing and editing. More links will be added as we go along. This is a good way to get started to improve your writing at your ownpace. You need to recognize your own weaknesses in writing and work on them yourself. The reason, the carrot to reach for? Better writing leads to better thinking and better jobs. Good compilation at GMU. Check out other links. Sounds wild, but ChompChomp is a good place for self tests and good handouts to print and keep nearby. Another good self-test site, this one specifically for journalists, is Newsroom 101. Check out the American HeritageBook of English Usage.
