Associate Professor:
The University of North Florida, College of Computing, Engineering, and Construction. Member of the founding faculty of the Civil Engineering Program at UNF. Chaired original Accreditation Committee leading to successful accreditation visit by ABET Review Team in 2002. Instruct and engage in scholarly activities related to Sustainable Construction Materials and Methods, the Beneficial Use of Recycled By-Products, and Pavement Design, Evaluation, Management and Preservation. Examples of recently completed research conducted at UNF include: BDH23, Harmonization of Texture and Skid Resistance Measurements;BDB11, Use of Nondestructive Techniques to Estimate the Allowable Vibratory Compaction Level During Construction; DO2022, Measuring Pavement Friction Characteristics at Higher Speeds for Added Safety; and BD273, Evaluation of Variable Properties of FDOT Friction Courses.Assistant Professor:
The University of Tennessee, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Taught and conducted research related to Construction Materials, Portland Cement and Asphaltic Concrete Mix Design and Analysis, and Pavement Management and Design. Also participated in the first ABET 2000 Criteria assessment of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at UT in 1999.Construction Materials Engineer:
Vulcan Materials Company, Birmingham, Alabama. Provided technical services including training, quality control, and research and development in an effort to promote a better understanding of the interaction of aggregates, concrete, and asphalt in construction.Materials Engineer:

Provided leadership in the coordination and management of materials testing, construction inspection, and research policies and programs for the Fifth District of the Florida Department of Transportation. Managed a staff of over 50 engineers and technicians responsible for the inspection, sampling, and testing of construction materials, as part of a $225 million District construction program.Project Manager:
