EME 2040 Introduction to Educational Technology- An introduction to the classroom applications of educational technologies. The course includes a survey of educational hardware and software. Topics include multimedia, interactive media, ethics and legal issues, and the Internet.
EDG 2701 Teaching Diverse Populations- A course designed to study multicultural education. Emphasis is on such dimensions of diversity as culture, ethnicity, race, language, social class, exceptionality, gender, age, and sexual orientation and their implications for educational policy, curriculum, and methodology. Field experience required. This is a prerequisite course for admission to teacher education programs.
EDG 4410 Classroom Management and Communication- This course provides preservice teachers with the basic skills necessary for effective classroom management and clear communication. It specifically assists preservice teachers in developing a set of behaviors designed to elicit and maintain student learning and on-task behaviors.
EDF 3151 Nature of the Learner- An examination of the cognitive, social and emotional characteristics of K - 12 learners together with sources of learner individuality including culture, gender, and socioeconomic status. The course includes a discussion of learning and its implications for instruction.
