My cross-stitch LiveJournal community ran a Stitching World Cup to coincide with the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. So here we go!

Original Goals: To finish 2 wallet-sized mini photo albums, and finish my husband's Christmas present.
Restated Goals (half-way): To finish 2 wallet-sized mini photo albums and deisgn and stitch a wedding sampler for a friend's upcoming wedding.

The beginning: I was NOT in stitch mode! I had just bought a couple of new computer games and was completely immersed in them for about a week and a half. Then my muse kicked back in!

Score 1: The black photo album

So the first item was a wallet-sized mini photo album, to be all-black.

Score 2: The pink photo album

Item number 2 was a wallet-sized mini photo album in all pink (not too light, not too bright). This one I got done in about 3 days (I had some good stitching time).

Score 3: Finish my husband's Christmas gift, was changed to design and stitch a wedding sampler once I'd heard that the groom had passed his Embassy interview and was going to be able to come to the States.
Their names have been blocked out for privacy. The Arabic script translates to "Happy Wedding."
The blue of the Arabic is the rayon floss I didn't use for a previous mini photo album. I love the hearts. I'm not completely satisfied with the green or the heavy blocky-ness of the names, but oh well.

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
I finished with 1 day to spare!
