My name is Chris Miller and I am a senior at the University of North Florida. I will graduate with my Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Corporate Finance in May 2008. Currently, I am the technical analyst as well as the healthcare and industrials sector analyst for the Osprey Financial Group. I have been trading since 2004 and employ both technical and fundamental analysis in my investment decisions. I also work with a team of Financial Advisors at Merrill Lynch who manage over $250 million in client’s assets. I develop presentations and analyze investment options for clients around the world.

Outside of class, I am the founding President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, President and Chief Financial officer of the Hate Hurts Peace Ambassadors, the Recruiter for the Finance and Investment Society, the Event Coordinator of the Student Business Advisory Council, a member of Students In Free Enterprise, the Financial Management Association, the Golden Key International Honor Society, and the University Scholars Honor Society. I was one of four members chosen to represent the University of North Florida at the annual Students in Free Enterprise personal financial case study competition. Our team advanced to the nationals in Tucson, AZ where we placed 5th in the nation out of 950 teams.

I am also actively involved in my Church where I am a life group leader for the college group and play guitar in the praise band on a weekly basis. I also volunteer my time with the Bridge of Northeast Florida, Builders Care, Camp Boggy Creek, City Rescue Mission, HabiJax, and nursing homes in Jacksonville. I enjoys traveling and has been to Honduras, Mexico and Beijing, China (3 separate times) on mission trips.

I am in the process of writing my thesis concerning retirement savings predictors among college students. I am scheduled to present at numerous conferences in the spring including the International Finance Conference at the University of North Florida, the Eastern Finance Association’s annual meeting in St. Petersburg and the American Society of Business and Behavioral Sciences annual meeting in Las Vegas.

Upon graduation, I plan to work as a financial analyst in New York City before returning to school to pursue an MBA.
