Bio of Karthikeyan Umapathy
Karthikeyan Umapathy is currently working as Assistant Professor at the School of Computing, University of North Florida. He received his PhD in Information Sciences and Technology from the Pennsylvania State University. His research interests are complex software development, system interoperability, data interoperability, patterns, design and development of web services-based solutions, systems integration, and IT standardization. His research works are published in various conferences such as Americas Conference on Information Systems, Conceptual Modeling, Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, International Conference on Web Services, Service Computing Conference, and Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology; and journals such as IEEE Computer, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Systems Frontiers, Information Systems and e-business Management, Journal of Information Systems Applied Research, and Journal of Computing and Information Science in Engineering. He serves as an editorial board member for Journal of Information Systems Applied Research and Information Systems Education Journal. He served as publicity chair for 2009, 2010, and 2011 Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology conference. His teaching interests are object oriented programming, eBusiness, software design and development, systems design and analysis, enterprise integration fundamentals, and advanced enterprise information systems and technologies. He is Co-PI for Digging into Human Rights Violations Project funded by National Science Foundation.
