In Adams County, PA, the earliest known MILLER may be Nicholas as shown in "The Census of York County, 1762, where he is in Germany Twp. In the 1790 Federal Census, he has a wife, three young sons and a daughter.

Also, in Adams County is Eli MILLER with his wife and daughter. Next door is Nicholas WEAVER with a wife, two sons and two daughters.
In 1814, Nicholas WEAVER wills--Huntington Twp--bequests to the children of Levi MILLER and Eli MILLER. (MILLER sons marrying WEAVER daughters?) Also, a bequest to John Frazier.
In 1818, Nicholas WEAVER's executor's by cash paid Eli, John and Levi MILLER.
In 1826, Nicholas WEAVER's heir Levi MILLER requests a court hearing about the will.

In 1811, Levy MILLER is a witness to Andrew THOMPSON's will--Huntington Twp.

By the 1800 Federal Census, Adams County has four Nicholas MILLERs (2 at 45 yrs; 2 over 45 yrs) and Levi MILLER at 45 yrs in Huntington Twp with wife, four sons under 10 yrs and three daughters.

In 1769, York County Will records for Joseph MILLER bequests to wife Margaret and children Levi, Eli and Phobe (m. George Menich).
In 1815, Elizabeth Menich, a minor but age over 14 years, one of the daughters of George Menich of Huntington Twp asks for Moses VanScoyor as guardian.

In 1781, Henry MILLER (Abraham MILLER, Executor) bequests wife Margaret and children Henry, John, Adam, Fanny, Barbara and Margaret.

In 1784, Michael MILLER of Huntington Twp (Henry MILLER, Executor) bequests to children Henry, John, Catharine, Margaret, Elizabeth and Susanna.

In 1799, Martin Hiller of Manheim Twp bequests to grandchild Mary Eve, wife of JOHN MILLER.

In 1814, Adams County Court Gardianship Papers for Levi MILLER of Huntington Twp shows these sons:
......(over 14 yrs)...Joseph, Levi, Jr., Nicholas and John (all born before 1800)
.....(under 14 yrs)...William, Michael, Eli and James

It is possible that Levi's son John is the father of MY JOHN DIETRICK MILLER and MY ELI F., WILLIAM S. and JAMES P. were named after uncles and great-uncles??? Other info indicates that MAYBE the first Levi above was the son of Nicholas.
