Joseph Born: 1845 in Adams County, PA

On 1861.04.30 joined the 20th PA Vols at Philadelphia, PA.

On 1862.04.30 joined the 162nd PA Vols at Philadelphia, PA.

Moved into Illinois about 1871 and stayed for seven years.
Joined enroute the Third PA Colony to Kansas leaving April 1st, 1878 from Shippensburg, Southampton Twp, Cumberland County, in ten first-class coaches and four baggage cars for goods, to the newly formed town of Wilson, Ellsworth County, Kansas.
Other brothers on the trip were John F., David L., and James P. MILLER, who was single. All of the MILLERs settled in Plymouth Twp.
