John F. Born: 1835 in Adams County, PA. Died July 18,1905.
In the August 26th, 1850 Federal Census of Menallen Twp, John MILLER, 16, is living on the farm of John SOWERS.

In 1864, enlisted for the Civil War in Co. F 209th PA Vols.

In the 1860 Federal Census of Newton Twp, Cumberland County, PA. age 25

In the 1870 Federal Census in Newville, Dickinson Twp, Cumberland County, PA. age 35

Was part of the Third PA Colony to Kansas leaving April 1st, 1878 from Shippensburg, Southampton Twp, Cumberland County, in ten first-class coaches and four baggage cars for goods, to the newly formed town of Wilson, Ellsworth County, Kansas.
Other brothers on the trip were David L., Joseph G., and James P. MILLER, who was single. All of the MILLERs settled in Plymouth Twp.
