David L. Born: 1836 in Adams County, PA. Died May 20,1904.
Probably named after his uncle David, brother of his father.

In 1864, enlisted for the Civil War in Co. K 165th PA Vols.

In the 1870 Federal Census of Newville, Dickinson Twp, Cumberland County, PA. age 34

Was part of the Third PA Colony to Kansas leaving April 1st, 1878 from Shippensburg, Southampton Twp, Cumberland County, in ten first-class coaches and four baggage cars for goods, to the newly formed town of Wilson, Ellsworth County, Kansas.
Other brothers on the trip were John F., Joseph G., and James P. MILLER, who was single. All of the MILLERs settled in Plymouth Twp.

Married Christina SILLIK on May 20, 1858.
