Electronic On-Board Recorders (EOBRs)

A study on the opinions of motor carrier drivers.

TO COMPLETE THE EOBR SURVEY, PLEASE CLICK HERE.

We are conducting a study on the opinions of commercial motor carrier vehicle drivers on the proposed EOBR rule. The purpose of our study is to learn about the impact that the proposed EOBR rule will have on this industry and other issues pertaining to driver safety and the use of EOBRs. Your answers to the questions will help us learn more about this issue.

If you agree to participate, you will be asked a series of questions about your opinions on the proposed EOBR rule. Our survey has several questions about the EOBR rule. For example, we would like to know if the proposed rule should be required of some or all CMV drivers. We would also like to know what impact the proposed rule will have on the industry in terms of increased driver turnover.

Participation in this study is completely voluntary. You do not have to take part in the study. You can stop participating at any time, for any reason, without penalty or negative consequences. You can skip any questions that you do not wish to answer. It should take you approximately 20 minutes to complete the survey.

The results of the study will not be used to create or enforce the EOBR rule.  All information collected in this study is confidential to the extent permitted by law.

The data that you provide will be grouped with data others provide for reporting and presentation purposes. Your name will not be used in any of our reports. We will not share your individual responses with anyone.  We will not associate your name with any of the results. Please note that there is possible risk of disclosure of your responses to your employer should you choose to use a company computer or company-provided email. You can protect yourself by using a personal computer, closing your browser after completing the survey, clearing the cache, and by using any specific web-survey settings you have chosen to protect confidentiality, etc. One benefit from completing this survey is that we will be able to provide the industry with the opinions of motor carrier drivers on the proposed EOBR rule.

You are being asked to take part in this study because you are a commercial motor vehicle driver. We believe that your opinion on the proposed EOBR is very important and your comments need to be heard by other drivers, motor carrier companies, and government officials. You will not incur any expenses with completing this survey. You will not be compensated for completing this survey.
