ELA Supervisors take care of hiring, scheduling, and managing the student employees.

Electronic Library Assistants should report absences, request time off, request schedule changes, and report problems directly to either Jim or Paul. When neither Jim nor Paul is reachable, ELAs should report directly to the Head of Reference, Sarah Phillips.

Anticipated absences should be approved in advance by one of the supervisors. Absences due to illness should be phoned in as soon as possible, preferrably prior to the start of the shift for which the employee is scheduled.
