Banner Access FAQs
Please Note: This document assumes that you have
the necessary training to use Banner once you are logged on to the
system. If you have not had training please go to this page: http://www.unf.edu/dept/cpdt/#
How do I get to Banner?
You go to Banner by going to the http://mywings.unf.edu web page.
This is the sign-on page for UNF’s myWings Web Portal which
gives access to Banner, and has additional information and features
of its own. On the upper left hand corner of that page is the sign-on
for the portal. This single sign-on will get you into the portal’s
main page which has links for Internet Native Banner (INB) and Banner
Self-service.
What Userid and Password do I use?
Your network userid and password are used to get access to myWings
and Banner. Once you have signed on to myWings you can access both
INB and Self-Service. Please note that the first time you access
Banner, you will get a message that says your Banner password has
been updated. This has no direct affect on your use of Banner. It
is simply electronic “housekeeping” and making your Banner
password the same as your network one. Please click the link indicating
that you want to continue.
What if I don’t have the Banner
screens that I need to do my job?
To perform any process within Banner, such as creating requisitions,
you need access to certain screens or forms. As with other UNF Applications,
the dean, director or chair of your area needs to contact the owner
of the system, in writing, to request access for the necessary screens.

Who should I contact when I don’t
have the necessary accounting authority in Banner?
Banner Finance has security based on funds and organizations (called
fund/org security). The first step is to find the Banner funds and
orgs that you need access to. We have provided a crosswalk table
on the web to enable you to enter your SAMAS organization number
and receive your new Banner index, fund and org. This can be found
at SAMAS
to Banner crosswalk. If you do not have access to
these funds or orgs within Banner your department manager will need
to contact the Controller’s Office at mailto:banfin@unf.edu and specify which funds or organizations you should have access to.

director or chair for your area request such access via e-mail to
banner-finance@unf.edu. If you are uncertain who to call, please
contact the Support Center, as listed above. They will guide you

the appropriate resource.
