- OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE
To establish procedures for evaluating the academic deans.
- STATEMENT OF POLICY
A performance planning and review of each Academic Dean will be conducted in the late fall of the penultimate year of the Dean's appointment.
- STATEMENT OF PROCEDURES

A. The Dean to be reviewed will prepare a concise statement of his or her goals and significant accomplishments for the previous three years.
B. The Dean will also outline his/her goals for the next three-year period.
C. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs will:
a. Gather the relevant documents including the Dean’s statement and solicit input from appropriate constituents thought to have insight into the Dean’s performance.
b. Prepare a brief analysis of the Dean’s performance and discuss it with the Dean.
c. Make a recommendation on reappointment to the President
Enterprise Documents:
1. Dean's Statement
2. Annual Evaluation of Administrators (faculty survey)
3. College Annual Reports
4. College votes of reappointment if part of College By-Laws
Input may be solicited from any one of the following groups:
1. Dean's staff
2. College Chairs and faculty
3. College Advisory Board members
