THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA 2002 FACT SHEET
With a reputation for academic excellence, the University of North Florida's 440 full time faculty members are helping our 13,000 students develop the knowledge and skills they will need for today's and tomorrow's challenges. UNF offers these students a comprehensive array of 75 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Students attend classes on a beautiful 1,300 acre campus, in facilities equipped with the latest teaching and research technology. To keep pace with our continuing growth, in 2001 UNF opened a new Fine Arts Center and broke ground on a Science and Engineering building that is scheduled to open in Fall 2003. Through UNF's capital campaign, Access to Excellence, the University has raised more than $57 million in private donations to support student scholarships and to enhance the University's academic and building programs. And as a public institution, UNF's tuition remains among the most affordable in the country. With all of these strengths, there is no question that this dynamic institution will continue to play a vital role in the development of northeast Florida and beyond.
