University of North Florida Facilities
UNF's scenic campus
is nestled among 1,300 acres which includes a nature and wildlife area
with lakes and nature trails. A portion of the campus is used for scientific
research and has been the site for the annual Envirothon for local schools.
The campus encompasses
26 major buildings with more than 2.8 million square feet of space.
The newest residence hall, The Crossings, opened in fall 2001. All 2,000
on-campus residents receive free high speed data access, local phone
and cable TV service.
The recently completed
$22 million Fine Arts Complex provides office, classroom, studio and
lab space for the departments of Communication & Visual Arts and Music.
Future construction
projects include expansion of the Library and a new building for the
College of Education.
