Criteria for Soaring to Excellence Award
Nominees must meet the below criteria and exemplify at least one of the guiding principles outlined on Page 2. These criteria will be used by the Selection Committee to identify employees for notable contributions to the mission of the University above and beyond performance or job expectations.
- Eligibility shall extend to all current Administrative (A&P) and Support (USPS) staff members.
- If an employee receives a Soaring to Excellence Award, he or she will not be eligible for another Soaring to Excellence Award until one year after the award date.
- All nominees must have been employed by the University for a minimum of three (3) years prior to the end of the application deadline for the selection process.
- All nominees must be appointed on a minimum 75 percent or 3/4 work-time basis for the full year.
- The nominee must have a history of good standing in his or her Human Resources personnel file.
- Self nominations are not accepted for this award
- Members of the University community and others may nominate employees for this award.
- The nominator cannot be a relative of the nominee as defined in the Human Resources Personnel Program Policies & Regulations (Page 17).
