Outstanding Achievement Award

This award is given to Support, Out of Unit Faculty, or OPS staff for achievements that result in a significant benefit to the University, division, college or department, and are sustained, long-term accomplishments within the realm of the employee's job.

Monetary amount of award (after taxes):

  • First place: $2,000
  • Second place: $800

Criteria for the Outstanding Achievement Award

  • Members of the University community and others may nominate employees.
  • Nominator cannot be a relative of the nominee as defined in the Human Resources Personnel Program Policies & Regulations (Page 17).
  • Self nominations are not accepted for this award.
  • Nominee must have a history of good standing in his or her Human Resources personnel file.
  • Nominees must be a current Support (USPS), Out-of-unit Faculty, and regular Other Personal Services (OPS).
  • Previous Outstanding Achievement Award recipients are not eligible for this same award until one year after the most recent award date.
  • Nominee must have been employed by the University for a minimum of three (3) years prior to the deadline date.
  • Award recipients must be currently employed at the time of the monetary reward distribution.
  • This award will only be granted if there are qualified nominations.

The Recognition & Reward Committee will communicate to the appropriate Director and VP the names of the nominees from their area. Directors and VP’s (or their designee) may choose to withdraw the nomination packet.
