Revisions to the Excellence Awards Program

A recent evaluation of the Excellence Awards Program resulted in the need to restructure two award categories. The Soaring to Excellence Award is now designated for A&P staff and the Outstanding Achievement Award for Support staff. These award categories are designed to have 1st and 2nd place winners with monetary awards of $2,000.00 and $800.00 respectively. The Office of Human Resources supports the Recognition & Rewards Committee's decision in that restructuring the program will allow all employees an opportunity to be recognized for performing at the highest level of excellence.

The University of North Florida's Excellence Awards Program is administered by the Office of Human Resources and the Recognition & Rewards Committee. This program provides the University the opportunity to recognize employee contributions and services.

The Recognition & Rewards Committee is currently accepting nominations for the Excellence Awards. Click on the links to the left to access a description of each award, the criteria for nominees and the appropriate forms.

The next deadline for nominations is Friday, December 4, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Questions may be directed to awardcom@unf.edu. Nomination packets should be delivered (or mailed) to Vivian Senior, Career Services, Schultz Hall, Bldg. 9, Room 1104.
