The University of North Florida's Excellence Awards Program is administered by the the Office of Human Resources and the Recognition and Rewards Committee. The Program provides the university and employees the opportunity to recognize employee contributions and service.

The Recognition and Rewards Committee is currently accepting nominations for the Excellence Awards. The next deadline for nominations is Friday, June 27, at 5 p.m. Questions may be directed to awardcom@unf.edu. Nomination packets should be dropped off (or mailed) to Vivian Senior, Career Services, Building 2, Room 2039.

This award is given to an individual for notable contributions to the University that are significantly above and beyond the range of the job assignment and performance expectations and demonstrate application of the four guiding principles of the University (commitment to excellence, focus, relevance, and accountability).

This award is given to an individual for achievements that result in a significant benefit to the University, division, college or department, and are sustained, long-term accomplishments within the realm of the employee’s job. 

Outstanding Achievement Criteria

This award is granted to any UNF department that has:

• contributed to the enhancement of quality customer service at the University
• shown exceptional initiative in “going the extra mile”
• provided service to internal and external customers with timely and appropriate follow-up
• responded to the needs of students, patrons, or customers
• demonstrated improvement of customer service and satisfaction

The ‘Spot’ Award is designed to reward someone for an act that seemingly took a simple effort, but ultimately will have a lasting positive affect on either students, faculty, staff or visitors. UNF’s Spot Award is your opportunity to nominate a colleague for his/her outstanding contribution.
