The Support Services Committee did not have any action items during the 2016-2017 year.
September 2016 – The committee welcomed new members (Chris Brown, Terence Cavanaugh, and Pamela Zeiser). The committee welcomed Deb Miler, Director of the Center for Instruction and Research Technology (CIRT) spoke to the committee about CIRT and its programs and projects.
October 2016 – The committee welcomed University Police Department Chief Frank Mackesy introduced himself and Deputy Chief Bill Strudel to speak about UPD operations and the various safety programs they support on campus.
November 2016 – The committee welcomed Cheresa Boston, Director of Sponsored Research at the UNF Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) who gave a presentation to the committee about the various programs at ORSP.
January 2017 – The committee welcomed Mike Binder and Andrew Hopkins who gave a presentation on the Public Opinion Research Lab (PORL), a full-service survey research center at the University of North Florida under the College of Arts and Sciences
February 2017 – The committee welcomed Matthew Davidson, UNF Bookstore Manager, who spoke to the committee about bookstore operations and all of the recent changes including the new contract, upcoming renovations and the new Follet Discover program for MyWings-based student book purchasing.
March 2017 – The committee welcomed Tom VanSchoor, Dean of Students. The Dean spoke about Supporting Our Students which exists to identify and intervene in situations involving students who may exhibit behaviors of concerns.
April 2017 – The committee welcomed George Androuin who is the Director of Business Services, and runs four different areas on campus: Business Services, the Herbert University Center, the Fine Arts Center, and Parking and Transportation. He specifically spoke in depth about parking services and the new parking by license plate program.
No meetings were scheduled for May, June, or July of 2017.
