  • Approval of the Minutes
Minutes of December 10, 2015 meeting were approved.
  • Introductory Remarks/Old Business
    None
  • New Business
Discussion of Information Item planned for inclusion in next Faculty Association meeting. The information item pulls responses from 3 questions off the graduating senior survey that are meaningful to faculty. As the Strategic Planning Advisory Committee, we believe the senior survey to be a meaningful survey that will shed light on the retention question. Therefore, we think the survey should be continued, but in order to increase the response rate we recommend a more concise survey with a small amount of leeway granted to departments to include additional questions.
  • Other Discussions/Announcement
Paul Eason reported on the recent Strategic Planning Council meeting. The council is crafting a new vision statement and is going through the draft line by line. There was discussion about growing the enrollment to 25,000 by 2025, but there were questions about what programs would be added to reach that target. The council will be taking that concern back to their respective departments to think about growth numbers and programs. Thought needs to go back to programmatic development. We need to put a fair amount of growth to plan and if the growth is there, how will UNF maintain small class sizes and the character of the university?
  • Adjournment & Next Meeting
The meeting adjourned at 1:05 PM.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 @12:15 p.m. in the OFE/FA Conference Room. Betsy Nies will take the minutes, and we will go through the common questions on the existing senior survey and decide on continued inclusion or deletion.
