Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 10:00 AM by Michael Bovenzi, chair.

  • Welcome/Announcements
    • Coffee, Hot Tea, & Water are provided for the meeting. 
    • All are invited to the Faculty Association Luncheon Buffet Meeting at 12:15 PM on the 4th Floor, Talon Room. 
    • Lunch services start at 11:30 AM.
    • Welcome to Dr. Chau Kelly who is Assistant Professor of History Department.  She is replacing Dr. Brenda Vose whose COAS representative due to the class conflict. 
    • Before beginning programs review, Chair Bovenzi described and showed the addition to the APC home page on the website; the “Work Flow System Helpful Items (April 2015) https://www.unf.edu/unffa/APC/APC_Workflow_System_(WfS)_Helpful_Items.aspx   He suggested that faculty use this resource as the guide in completing packages. The FAQ section is being updated as more suggestions are submitted.

    Master of Science in Health-Health Science Major Orthopedic Physical Therapy Concentration.

    This program is no longer offered.

    Approved with adjustments: add to the summary, an explanation (reason) for termination.

    Pending Chair Bovenzi will be checking the course with the School of Computing. The course might be required under CCEC and not BCH.

    Mr. Raymond Gaddy left earlier before his package upon discussion. Chair Bovenzi will email to have changes note in the comment section.
    The package will be forwarded to the next APC meeting.

    The Chair noted that the process for a new program is to receive approval of the program first, then part two is to submit the APC package including the new courses created.  Normally this is taking a two-year process.

    1) MUH 6684/MUT 6761 in term 3 is being switched with the Electives requirement in term 4

    2) Electives requirement is being expanded to include any 5000 or 6000 level music course.

    Approved.

    Master of Music - Music Performance Major Voice Concentration

    Three changes:

    1) MUH 6684/MUT 6761 has been moved from term 3 to term 4.

    2) Tthe number of elective credits in terms 3 and 4 have been adjusted so that credit hours each term add up to 9.

    3) The language requirement has been specified as a prerequisite to reflect that undergraduate courses cannot count toward credit hour for a graduate degree.

    Approved.

    The course is being changed from a 2 credit course to a 2 credit course.

  • Other Business

    APC Workflow Packages deadline submission for 2016-2017 UNF Catalog is on Tuesday, October 13, 2015.  The workflow packages will be reviewed during the meetings 10/29 and 11/5.           
    Reminder: 
            
    Any APC Workflow package corrections needed to be resubmitted on 2 to 3 work days after the meeting; otherwise, the packages cannot catch the Executive Committee meeting agenda deadline. In addition, the “EDIT” is only accessed within 24 hours.
