Civil Engineering Master's Thesis

This APC aims to adjust thesis hours (CGN6970: Civil Engineering Master's Thesis) in the MSCE program to allow students to take 1 to 6 credit hours per semester instead of the current offering that restricts students to taking only 3 credit hours of MSCE Thesis course per semester. The adjustment would allow students to take flexible thesis hours from 1 to 6 credits based on their progress. Therefore, the change is requested from the current fixed three thesis credit hours to the variable minimum of 1 and maximum of six credit hours.
New Course Description:
The student will conduct individual research on topic relevant to civil engineering. The research topic will be chosen by the student in conjunction with their advisor.
Repeatability: The credit hours may vary from 1 to 6 per semester. The course may be repeated for up to 6 credits.
