We want to modify the pre-requisite and the credits so that this course can be used in the future by different programs within the School of Engineering. At present, the course is not on any program of study within the School of Engineering and we wish to be able to add some flexibility to the course to enable it to be used for engineering students as a technical elective. We are changing the credits from fixed 2 credits to variable 1-2 credits to enable such flexibility.
New Course Description:
Prerequisite: MAC 1147 or equivalent
Description: The purpose of this course is to introduce potential engineering students to the tools that will be utilized to solve problems in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering. The course will introduce the student to the application of mathematical principles to the solution of engineering problems. Computer methods will be introduced to solve mathematical systems.
