Course Description:
This course is designed to teach candidates how to be successful literacy coaches. Candidates will learn about the theory and practices current coaching models rely on to support and strengthen teachers' literacy instruction. Research and theory addressed in the course will focus on the intersection of the following fields: adult development, professional development, relationship between teacher quality and student achievement, teacher change, and school improvement.
