Add a new concentration to an existing program
Master of Science in Nursing - Nursing Major Women's Health/Child Health Clinical Nurse Specialist Concentration

Summary of the Changes:
The current MSN with Clinical Nurse Specialist concentration will remain with Adult Health focus. However, we are proposing a new Clinical Nurse Specialist concentration focusing on Women's and Children's Health. The accrediting bodies in nursing now require such specification and the current program does not have this focus. This proposal will incorporate 7 new courses with some of the current CNS courses. The total credit hour for the MSN/ Clinical Nurse Specialist will remain at 43 credit hours. The new courses are: NGR 5XXX Clinical Nurse Specialist Role Development, NGR 5XXXC Management of Acute conditions for Women's and Children's Health Clinical Nurse Specialists, NGR 6XXXC Health Promotion for Women's and Children's Health Clinical Nurse Specialists, NGR 6XXXC Management of Chronic Conditions for Women's and Children's Health Clinical Nurse
