Summary of the Changes:
Army ROTC is a program that commissions lieutenants into the active and reserve forces upon completion of an undergraduate or graduate program. Army ROTC provides cadets with the character-building aspects of a diverse, self-disciplined civilian education with tough, centralized leadership development training. (Go Army.com website, 2009)
Available exclusively to students who participate in ROTC, the UNF Military Science minor will offer our cadets the opportunity to apply the ROTC coursework to an actual minor in military science and not have the coursework only count as electives. With a nationally accredited curriculum and a teaching faculty hired and funded by the United States Army, the addition of the minor will ensure the highest quality of learning at little to no expense to the university. The minor is currently offered at every Florida state university except UWF, and would further demonstrate UNF's already outstanding commitment to the men and women of the United States armed forces.
The total credit hours are 27 to 30.
