Parking Advisory Council Report for 2015-2016

  1. Council recommended no change in restricting specific groups to specific areas for 2016/2017 and no changes to the hierarchy of permit sales 2016/2017 which was supported by VP Shuman.

  2. A nighttime faculty staff parking permit at an annual rate of $150.00 was recommended. This type of permit will go into effect with the start of the new academic year 2016/2017.

  3. Night Faculty/Staff parking permits for midnight to 8:20 a.m. shift employees were discussed, then tabled until Fall 2016 or Spring 2017.

  4. License Plate Recognition procedures are going to be implemented Fall 2017, but tested during 2016-2017. This will require nose in parking. There will be a citation (voted in at $30 after three warnings) for not following this procedure. Those who insist on backing win will be able to buy a back-in permit for $50.

  5. An electric Vehicle Charge Station is now in lot 53. The agreement should be finalized soon and the unit will then be activated. A fee of $30 will be charged for parking in one of these spots when no charging a vehicle.
