HOW TO BE A PRESENTER OR EXHIBITOR: The application process is open to all individuals, UNF student organizations, as well as individuals and community organizations throughout Jacksonville and Northeast Florida. Deadline for applications is September 25, 2007. All applications are subject to review by our planning committee. Click here to submit your application

 

About the Festival:
The University of North Florida will host a week-long event under the banner of Peace Awareness Week, to include a Symposium on Conflict Transformation, interactive art exhibits, theatrical performances, and more. As part of the events leading up to the Symposium, the "Green" in front of the Fine Arts Center will be transformed into the common ground of our collective vision and hope for peace on our campus, in our city, our nation and across the globe. The Festival welcomes the inclusion of a variety of musical and literary performances, exhibits, and interactive activities.The festival is FREE and open to all UNF students, staff, and faculty, as well as the General Public.

Tent foodWe are looking for campus and communityorganizations
and individucals to be part of the program in any number of ways including the following:

  • Music, Poetry, and Drama Vignettes;
  • Speeches;
  • Food Stations;
  • Table Exhibits;
  • Demonstration Presentations;
  • Mini-workshops;
  • Non-competitive Games;
  • Dialogue Circles;
  • Interactive Projects;

There are no limitations other than the imagination! The ultimate purpose of the Festival is to create a fun-filled,exciting, interactive, cooperative, positive platform for advancing our collective global vision for peace.

UNF Student Volunteers Needed: We are in need of UNF students to help set-up, teardown, organize, emcee, and just lend a helping friendly hand during the two festival days as well as during the many other events of Peace Awareness Week.
