Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

General Information

The TOEFL measures English communication ability.  The Office of Academic Testing administers the TOEFL internet-based test (iBT) year-round. The TOEFL (iBT) consists of the following four sections: reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

Testing Hours

TOEFL (iBT) is available on select Fridays at 8:00 a.m. by appointment only.  Registration is available online or by calling the ETS TOEFL line at (800) 468-6335 (for locations inside the U.S., U.S. territories and Canada).  For information regarding registration by phone for all other locations, registration by mail, or registration at TOEFL Resource Centers click here.

Fees

The current registration fee for the TOEFL (iBT) in the United States is $180.
