WOMEN'S CENTER
If you have a concern or want more information about issues affecting women, the Women's Center is the place to start. UNF's Women's Center's has advocated for the political, social, and economic gains of ALL people by eradicating gender-based inequalities in a supportive atmosphere. The Center strives to provide students, the university community, and the greater Jacksonville community with programs and services in five areas of focus: networking and mentoring opportunities, programs and events of interest to women, and referrals to resources on or off campus; a Reentry Program for prospective and enrolled students of nontraditional age and circumstances; support and advocacy through the Victim Advocacy Program for members of the campus community victimized by crime; ending sexual assault and other forms of interpersonal violence on campus and in the larger community; sponsorship of UNF's Bette Soldwedel Research Center in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences Gender Studies Program to promote research by women at UNF and to encourage men as well as women to research gender issues.
