There are lots of ways for you to get involved with UNF and your student's academic experience. Be sure to take advantage of what is available to you as a parent.

Parents Advisory Council

The Parents Advisory Council works to encourage interaction between parents and the University. It also supports the services provided to parents through the Office of Parent and Family Programs.

Volunteer Opportunities

The following volunteer opportunities are currently available for parents. To get involved, Click here to download the Parent Volunteer Application.

Host or co-host a Student Send-off Reception at informal regional gatherings. These wonderful events are a way for incoming UNF students and their parents to meet and network before school starts. Returning students and alumni also attend and share their experiences with new members of the UNF family.

On-Campus Events. Welcome new Osprey parents, answer questions and assist families of first year students during Orientation, Move-In Day, Week of Welcome, or work the registration table during Family Weekend.

Become part of the Parent’s Network. Add your name to a list of current parents who are willing take phone calls from new or prospective parents and assist UNF students who need assistance when traveling through your region.

Serve on a Parents Association committee

There are several standing committees and ad hoc committees as the need arises.



  Outreach Recruitment and retention of members by providing support to parents and their students

  Finance Managing grants that are awarded to university departments and organizations to enhance and enrich the student experience

  Events Coordinating social and educational activities of the association
