NEWS & UPDATES
The Parent Fund
We are delighted to be the 2008 – 2009 co-chairs of UNF’s inaugural Parent Fund. The Parent Fund has been established to garner unrestricted financial support for the programs, scholarships and initiatives in Student Affairs. It is important for you to know that UNF is a state assisted, not state supported university. This means that after tuition from students and funding from the state of Florida, UNF relies on private support for much of its operating dollars. You can visit the site here.
New UNF Tradition: Blue and Gray Fridays Faculty, staff, alumni and students and their parents are encouraged to show their support for the UNF Ospreys by wearing UNF apparel and/or the colors blue and gray each Friday classes are in session. There will be “spirit spotters” around campus rewarding those who participate in this program so wear your colors and show your spirit. For more information on College Colors Day ’08, visit www.collegecolorsday.com or contact Elliot Darkatsh at edarkats@unf.edu or (904)620-1051.
Parent & Family Programs: Ana Linares has transferred from the Intercultural Center for Peace as a coordinator in the Office of Parent and Family Programs.
