Osprey Plaza Paver Project
The Osprey Plaza paver project was recently launched to create a way for students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the University of North Florida to leave a lifelong legacy. Osprey Plaza is the breezeway between the east and west buildings of the new, state-of-the-art Student Union, which will house the many offices and services integral to student life on campus.
All proceeds from the purchase of these decorative 8" x 8" pavers will provide support to initiatives within the Division of Student Affairs, including programming and scholarship support, and will benefit students immediately.
The cost of a paver for alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends is $200.00. Pavers for currently enrolled UNF students are affordably priced at $100.00. Each paver consists of 6 lines, 14 characters each. Here are just some of the inscriptions that have been ordered: "IN LOVING MEMORY OF FRANCES E. SIGNORELLI MY SWEET MOM" ... "PEREZ GRADS DOREEN 1991 DEAN 1992 NOEL 1996 MARK TBA ZACHARY TBA" ... "WE MAY NOT HAVE IT ALL TOGETHER, BUT TOGETHER WE HAVE IT ALL".
All pavers purchased before the November 15, 2008 deadline will be included in the inaugural installation and will be in place for the grand opening to the Student Union scheduled for Spring 2009.
