Office of Elections 



The Office of Elections is comprised of an Elections Commissioner and a Deputy Elections Commissioner who are responsible for the production and maintenance of all Student Government Elections. The purpose of this office is to conduct the unbiased service of upholding the democratic process through elections.

Aesha Soliman

A Jacksonville native, Aesha graduated as the class of 2016 Valedictorian of Duval Charter High School before attending UNF in the fall of 2016. She is majoring in Political Science and double minoring in International Studies and Honors Interdisciplinary Studies. Aesha is heavily involved with the Hicks Honors College as well as student organizations like Model United Nations. Aesha's involvement with Student Government began when she served as a Senator before moving on to becoming Elections Commissioner. Aesha hopes to pursue a career in international diplomacy after graduation.

Deputy Elections Commissioner

Lawrence Dutton 

Lawrence was born in California but has been living in Florida for over a decade now. He is most involved on campus within the Honors College and Student Government. Lawrence came to UNF undeclared but is now majoring in English with a minor in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies. He intends to use his studies in English to transition into his graduate degree and either furthering his studies in English or focusing on law. He hopes to either pursue a career in law or in the field of publishing and editing. In his free time, Lawrence is a history buff and book worm who enjoys reading (a lot) and debating about hot topics that affect his community and those who are close to him.
