  • Dawn Knipe Staff Photo
    SG Director

    Dawn Knipe


    Dawn Knipe is responsible for the operations and advisement of Student Government, its branches, and its agencies. Dawn has a comprehensive background in higher education centered in student affairs and enrollment management. At Pace University in New York City, she held the positions of Assistant Dean for Students, Director of Enrollment Services, and Director of the Schimmel Center for the Arts. While there, she obtained a MBA from the Lubin School of Business and a BA in Dramatic Arts from the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences. In addition to her commitment to student development at UNF, Dawn enjoys theater and the arts, especially directing new plays by aspiring playwrights.

    SG Assistant Director

    Jason Edgar


    Jason is responsible for the overall administration of programs, policies & procedures of SG’s business functions and the Lend-a-Wing pantry operations. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Jason has a background in enrollment services management, team development and leadership, as well as data and root cause analysis. He obtained his BS in Operations Management from Syracuse University, his MBA from UNF, and is currently working towards his EdD in Educational Leadership. When not working or studying, he enjoys cycling, baking and photography.

    Victoria Shore


    A native of Mansfield, Ohio, Victoria graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Humanities and a Master's in Higher Education Administration from UNF. Victoria has lived in Florida since 1975 where she met and married her husband, Brian, and has three children and eight grandchildren. She has worked for UNF since 2010 in Student Affairs and currently as the Student Government Advisor, where she oversees the Legislative, Judicial and Office of Elections.

    Kayleigh Harrison


    Kayleigh Harrison is an alumna of the university and graduated with her Bachelor’s in Communication with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in American Sign Language/Deaf Studies. While studying at UNF, Kayleigh was involved with many organizations on campus, including Student Government, Housing and Residence Life and the Communication Department. She enjoys volunteering, exercising and spending time outdoors.

    SA Specialist for Club Alliance

    Kellen Hill


    Kellen Hill currently serves as advisor for Club Alliance in the SG office and assists with Club Funding. He is from the Jacksonville area but recently moved back after years living in Illinois, New York City and Texas. His background is in digital marketing and student affairs and is currently a graduate student at Brooks College of Health studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In addition to working with students, Kellen enjoys photography, ideating, sports and learning about new cultures. In his spare time, he likes to cook, eat tons of food and travel.

    Lucy Tison


    Lucy Tison comes to UNF from Neptune Baptist Church where she served as the Ministry Assistant to the Worship Arts Ministry. Prior to that she was a stay at home mom for 18 years where she was actively involved with the PTA and volunteering at her children’s schools. She began her career in the Mortgage Banking industry where she advanced from clerk to Loan Officer for Southeast Banks, NA. Lucy is married, has two children and two perfect grandchildren whom she loves spending time with.

    Sasha Kuntsevich


    As the Administrative Secretary, Sasha Kuntsevich assists the SG Director in everyday tasks and is in charge of maintaining the SG Library. Sasha is an alumna of UNF with a Bachelor's in Marketing and a Minor in History, and is in the process of getting her MBA. In summer 2017, she studied abroad in Italy, focusing on Art History. Sasha is originally from Minsk, Belarus; while not working, she enjoys reading mystery novels and traveling.

    Lend-A-Wing Pantry Administrative Secretary

    Kaylee Gunter


    As the Lend-A-Wing Administrative Secretary, Kaylee handles the administrative tasks at the Pantry in coordination with Student Government and assists students who visit the Pantry. She is originally from a small town in Arkansas and studied Health Service Administration at the University of Central Arkansas. Kaylee recently moved to Jacksonville with her husband after they were married and he was stationed in the area. Outside of work, she enjoys watching any sporting event, traveling, and watching stand-up comedy.

    Accounting Manager

    Katrina Willis


    Katrina Willis oversees the operations in the Business Office as its Accounting Manager and also provides accounting support to the Executive Branch and Lend-A-Wing Pantry. Katrina is a native of Ohio and traveled internationally for several years before settling in Jacksonville. She also enjoys spending time with family, baking and traveling.

    Timothy Barnes


    Tim Barnes' current duties in Student Government include providing accounting support for the Travel Index, Osprey Productions, Rec & Wellness, Elections, Homecoming and the Judicial Branch. He has been with the department for three years, helping students with their budget and travel needs. Tim is a native of San Diego, California, and enjoys time with his wife and two yellow labs. Tim also enjoys riding his motorcycle when the weather is nice, as well as watching sports and golf.

    Erica Calorel


    Erica Calorel currently serves as support staff for SG agencies, with specific focus on Club Alliance and Club Funding. She has been at the university for seven years, and continues to work with Student Government. Her main focus is to help any and all students with any questions about club funds and events. In addition to working with students, Erica enjoys many fandoms, comics, and photography. In her spare time, she creates, crafts, and designs art, including painting canvases and miniature figures.

    Lauren King


    Along with her regular accounting duties, Lauren King also maintains the daily operations of the Business and Accounting office, oversees the SG Scholarships, and edits the SG Website. Lauren is a recent UNF graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice. As a student, she was heavily involved with Student Government and her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. In the Fall of 2016, Lauren studied abroad in Dundee, Scotland, focusing her studies on Forensic Psychology. While not working, she enjoys playing lacrosse and video games, reading fiction novels, and planning her future trip around the world.

    Ge'Naya Berry-Hughes
    Ge’Naya Berry-Hughes is a Nursing major here at the University of North Florida. She is a first year college student with aspirations to become a successful Travel Nurse. When she graduates in 2022 she wants to explore the world and help those in need.

    Sebastien LaBranche
    Sebastien LaBranche is Behavioral Neuroscience major here at University of North Florida. Transferring in from FAU, Sebastien immediately gravitated toward the leadership of Student Government. Fall 18 being his first semester at UNF, he joined the Students Serving Students team as an Office Assistant, which ensures our SG student leaders receive their documents on time and in an efficient manner, as well as regulate communication throughout the floor. Sebastien takes pride in leading his peers and is always willing to lend an osprey hand.

    David Melillo
    Spring 2019 will be David’s 3rd semester at UNF. He has been a Student Assistant at UNF Student Government since August of 2018. He attended Lake Mary High School as well as Preparatory School in Lake Mary, FL. David played 3 varsity sports including football, soccer, and baseball. Here at UNF, he plans on majoring in International Business with a minor in Spanish. He hopes to stay at UNF for all four years including some time with a study abroad program in South America.

    Nahum Michel
    Nahum is an international student originally from Haiti. He transferred to UNF after his receiving his Associates of Arts from Florida State College at Jacksonville. He is a Junior currently working on his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Nahum is scheduled to graduate Spring 2020, and hopes to get some experience in a local company in Jacksonville before returning home. In his free time, Nahum enjoys watching action movies.

    Amari Miller
    Amari Miller joined our nest all the way from Akron, Ohio! She is a freshman with a Communications major with a concentration in Public Relations here at University of North Florida. Currently serving as a Student Assistant, she shows great enthusiasm and is always willing to ensure that our student leaders and professional staff have the important essentials to keep our services strong for the benefit of our fellow Ospreys! In her free time, Amari enjoys listening to music, doing art, going to the beach and always looks forward to going on new adventures. Ms. Miller is also the proud artist behind our very own Student Government Talon!

    Julia Palenzuela
    Originally from Winter Springs, Florida, Julia Palenzuela started at UNF in Fall 2016. She is currently working towards her Bachelor’s in Health Administration and is set to graduate in the spring of 2020. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in Health Administration. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her friends and explore what Jacksonville has to offer.

    Isabel Vasquez
    Isabel is a St. Augustine native who started at UNF in Fall 2016. She is also a double major in Anthropology and Political Science with hopes of pursuing a law degree at FSU after graduation. In her spare time, you can find Isabel studying with friends, working out in the gym, or spending time with her family.

    Gracie started at UNF in the fall of 2017. She moved here from Tampa and is currently an English major and wants to someday teach English overseas. When she isn’t in class or working, Gracie enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends or being outside.
