Tuition Scholarship Program

Please Note:

Tuition Scholarship Waivers will not be coded until
after the previous term's grades are posted.

The Enrollment Services Processing Office will be reviewing residency, grades and withdrawal history to determine eligibility. Notification will be made via email for those who are ineligible. If ineligible, you may opt to pay for the courses, or you must drop yourself by the close of the drop/add period.

Eligibility
  • The Tuition Scholarship program is only available to Undergraduate students.
  • Spouse/Dependents/Domestic Partner of full-time support employees, full-time A&P employees, and faculty, who have been employed at UNF for at least six months and are in good standing are eligible to participate.
  • Florida Residency Requirements must be met to be eligible. Resident Aliens and Non-Florida Residents must pay the out-of-state portion of their tuition.
  • This program is not available to OPS, part time or temporary personnel.
  • Employees must complete the Tuition Scholarship Form and submit it to One Stop Student Services by date listed on the above table.
Admission
  • In order to participate, dependents must seek admission to the University as a degree seeking or non-degree seeking student.

UNF Tuition Scholarship Program Policies

  • The Tuition Scholarship program is only available to Undergraduate students.
  • Spouse/Dependents/Domestic Partner of Full-time support employees, full-time A&P employees, and faculty of UNF may register for up to three hours of tuition-free courses with some restrictions. See the "Tuition Scholarship Program Policy" for more details.
  • Up to 6 hours per semester (for dependent children) can be waived if both spouses are employed at UNF.
  • Tuition will NOT be waived for the following types of courses: thesis, dissertation, internship, directed individual study, non-credit, sponsored credit, graduate and audited courses.
  • Fees will only be waived for eligible courses listed on the form. Employees who need to make a change to their spouse/dependents/domestic Partners registration after submitting the Tuition Scholarship Program Form to One Stop Student Services must submit a new form with the new courses listed.
  • Failure to submit your form by the deadline will result in you being fee liable for all courses you have registered for.
UNF Tuition Scholarship Registration Procedure

  • Make sure your spouse/dependent/domestic Partner has been admitted to the University by contacting One Stop Student Services at (904) 620-2624
  • Complete the Tuition Scholarship Program Form making sure you have Human Resources fill out their part of the form before returning it to One Stop Student Services by the date indicated on the above table.
  • Forms may be picked up from the UNF Human Resources Office or printed at http://www.unf.edu/registrar/tuition_scholarship_program.html
  • Dependents may register online or in person at One Stop Student Services.
  • To register or check your appointment online, visit Banner Self Service located on the Academics tab within the myWings web portal.
  • If there are any problems with the eligibility or registration of the Spouse/Dependent/Domestic Partner you will be contacted by email.
Continued Participation
  • Spouse/Dependents/Domestic Partner participating in this program must successfully complete all undergraduate courses taken in order to be permitted to participate during the following term.
  • For undergraduate students, successful completion means receiving a grade of "C" or better.
  • Receiving an "incomplete" or withdrawing from a course does not meet the criteria for continued participation.
