*The Aquatic Center is proud to host the UNF Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Team. The pool area & locker rooms are closed each afternoon during their private swim practice.
Unforeseen circumstances may arise which could alter the availability of the Aquatic Center. Should this occur, a notice will be posted at the Aquatic Center as far in advance as possible |

GENERAL INFOMRATION
The Aquatic Center features and indoor 50 meter by 25 yard indoor Olympic-size pool.
The pool water is heated year round to 83°F.
The Aquatic Center opened in December 1987.
The pool can be set up for 8 long course lanes or 17 short course lanes.
The water depth in the lanes ranges from 4 feet to 5 feet. The diving well is 13 feet at its deepest part.
There are 2 one meter boards and 2 three meter boards.
The pool holds 543,200 gallons of water.
It takes 72 lengths (36 laps) to swim 1 mile when swimming short course; 32 lengths
(16 laps) when swimming long course.
A computerized timing system and scoreboard are available for swim meets.
The pool is equipped with two hydraulic chair lifts, one in the shallow end and one in the deep
end, to provide access for handicapped patrons.
The Aquatic Center pool and/or classroom space may be rented for parties or special events as
long as it is prearranged with the management.
A sundeck with lounge chairs is located behind the Aquatic Center.
There are no rafts allowed in the pool.

| Front Desk Check-In |
Upon entrance to the Aquatic Center, all patrons must report to the front desk. Members must present their Osprey I.D. card. If you are not a member, you may pay a daily rate or have the option to join as a member. |
| Locker Rooms |
Children 5 years old and under must be accompanied in the locker room by a parent or adult guardian. |
| Children 6 years+ must use the appropriate locker room for their gender. It is recommended that children 6 years+ are supervised in the locker room by a parent or adult guardian. |
| To secure items in the locker room, patrons must supply their own lock (key locks are recommended). Locks must be removed after each visit. Locks that remain on lockers overnight will be cut and the contents will be removed. |
| UNF Aquatic Center staff and the UNF Women’s Swim Team and coaches are assigned lockers on a semester basis and authorized to keep locks and lockers throughout the assigned period. |

| Toilet stalls are not to be used as changing areas.Baby changing stations are available in both men and women’s locker rooms. Babies should not be changed in the pool deck area for sanitary reasons. |
FACILITY SCHEDULE POLICY
The UNF Aquatic Center is a University facility. During the year, there will be periods of time when the facility is closed or its operational hours are modified. The pool will be closed for the following reasons: holidays (including two weeks in December), Spring Break (one week in March), maintenance (one week in August), UNF swim meets, and special events. The pool hours will be modified for one week in December and two weeks in August.
Special facility closure dates and modified hours will be posted on a semester basis. Membership periods are based on consecutive months from the date of purchase. |

UNF Aquatic center memberships are non-refundable, non-transferable, and subject to cancellation. |
| Programs |
Program Refunds: A partial refund can be issued until 72 hours prior to the first class meeting. Refunds will NOT be granted after that time. A $10 processing fee is deducted from refund. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be issued.
(Please be advised: The University requires your social security number if requesting a refund for payments made by cash or check. Mail out time from Universality is between 3-5 weeks. Aquatic Center staff will request a social security number upon time of refund request. Refunds cannot be processed without a social security number. The alternative is a credit to your customer account if a social # is not available. Credits are valid for one year only). |

Parking permits, Memberships and Osprey ID Cards are non-refundable. UNF Aquatic Center is not responsible for parking tickets or Osprey One ID refunds.

| Parking |
Parking permits are required on weekdays. All patrons need a UNF parking permit to park on campus. Non-permit vehicles may be ticketed. Parking booths are located at front entrances of campus for daily fee or permits can be purchased along with a certain membership and/or swim programs at the Aquatic Center. Parking permits are not required on weekends. |

POOL RULES
- Patrons must obey the lifeguard(s) on duty.
- Running is not allowed on the pool deck.
- Horseplay such as pushing and dunking is prohibited.
- Diving is permitted only in the deep end of the pool. Exception: Competitive swimmers under the supervision of a qualified coach may perform racing dives into the lap lanes. However, swimmers participating in high school programs may not dive into the lap lanes due to FHSAA rules.
- Adult supervision is required for all participants under 13 years of age.
- Any child who is a non-swimmer and unable to touch the pool bottom, must have an adult in the water with him/her at all times. Children wearing or using flotation devices are not allowed in the deep end unless they are under the supervision of a UNF Program Instructor.
- Swimmers are not allowed to swim underwater for distances greater than 15 yards.
- Pro-longed underwater swimming or breath holding activities are not permitted
- Swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
- Playing on the ladders or diving from them is prohibited.
- Swimmers may not sit on or hang on the lane lines.
- Twirling jumps, flips, and back dives are not permitted from the side of the pool.
- Patrons are not to engage in lengthy conversations with the lifeguard(s) on duty.
- Glass containers and squirt guns are not allowed inside the facility.
- Chewing gum is not allowed in the pool area. Food and candy is restricted in the pool area.
- Band-Aids may not be worn in the pool.
- The use of balls, toys, and inflatable objects is permitted only with permission from the lifeguard. These items are not allowed in the deep end of the pool (except for water polo).
- The pool may be closed during electrical storms.
- Patrons must clear the pool area if an air horn is sounded (this indicates an emergency).
- Smoking is not permitted inside the facility or in the outdoor patio area.
- Any conduct that may endanger the comfort and/or safety of other patrons is prohibited.
- Persons with open wounds are not permitted in the water.
- Non potty-trained children must wear swim diapers

SPRINGBOARD DIVING RULES
- Use of the high diving boards is prohibited without special permission from the management.*
- Diving is restricted to dives performed in a front position and forward direction. "Gainers", back dives, back flips, and inward dives are not allowed without special permission from the management*.
- Only one person is allowed on the boards at a time.
- Divers must check the area below the board to make sure it is clear before diving.
- Divers may take one bounce only.
- Diving is allowed only from the front end of the boards (not the sides).
- After completing a dive, divers must immediately swim to the pool side.
- Hanging from the diving boards is prohibited.

Who can have a Party? |
The birthday child must be turning at least 7 years old. For any guests who are under 6 years old or who are non-swimmers, an adult must be in the water to assist them at all times. Note: the shallow end is 4 feet deep. |
What do pool parties consist of? |
POOL:
This includes a reserved portion of the shallow end. There are noodles, beach balls, and life jackets available. If possible, one diving board may be used but is not reserved exclusively for the party.
CLASSROOM:
Consists of two tables and twenty student desks. A small kitchen containing a refrigerator, freezer, and sink is also available for use. |
How many people can attend a pool party? |
A pool party can consist of up to 30 people in the pool. If there are more than 30 people in the pool the party will have to pay an extra $10 per hour for an extra lifeguard on duty. |

The fees are a set price as follows: (prices include tax)
Members: $120
Non-Members: $140

After scheduling your party, the Aquatics Coordinator will send you a confirmation sheet along with an informative letter including directions, pool rules, party reminders, and a waiver to be signed by each attending child’s parent.
