| The Aquatic Center was the only university facility in the nation to have won a prestigious NRPA award in 2002. The award is designed to recognize agencies that demonstrate excellence in planning and managing diversified aquatic activities. Judging was based on many factors, including the following: responsiveness to community needs, quality of services, professionalism of staff, effective use of resources, and the promotion of water safety. | ||
