Complete this certification in 6 classes over a 1-week period. This hybrid class divides the certification process into 7 hours and 25 minutes of personal online learning time and 19 hours and 30 minutes of on-site instructed time.
The Lifeguard Instruction certification course teaches basic-level lifeguarding, first-aid, and water rescuer skills. For ages 17 & up.Spring 2013 training sessions complete. Sessions not offered over summer. Check back for possible Fall and Spring sessions to be posted.
The Swim Instruction certification course will teach water safety skills and enable candidates to teach all leveles of the Red Cross Learn-to-Swim programs. Spring 2013 training sessions complete. Sessions not offered over summer. Check back for possible Fall and Spring sessions to be posted.
Each semester, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen Training is made available to current staff members of the Campus Recreation Department. The information below describes the training classes available to staff members.
