Aquatic Center for UNF Students

Yes! Come in with your valid Osprey ID. First time users may be asked to sign a release form.

Family members of UNF students may also use the pool or recreation facilities at a discounted rate. If you live in the same house as your parents/siblings or if you are married, then these family members qualify for a membership in a UNF Student discounted package.

• The Aquatic Center is indoors and open year-round.  The water is kept at 83° F. 
• The pool is set up for short course (25 yard) lap lanes and has three 1-meter diving boards and a 4-foot open shallow area for UNF students. 
• A swim chair lift is located in the shallow and deep ends to assist with swimmer entry and exit. 
• Men’s and Women’s locker rooms are equipped with locker, shower, and changing areas.  No overnight locker storage, please. 
• Out back is a fenced in backyard with a patio for sunbathing. 

• Swim for fun or fitness

• Join or start a student club
• Take a Red Cross certification course at an awesome student discount
• Attend a student-only event
• Take a water exercise class
• Come to a swim meet and cheer on your Lady Ospreys!

Yes! We hire currently certified: 

1. Lifeguards  
2. WSI (swim instructors) 
3. Water Exercise Instructors* 

*No experience or certification needed for Water Exercise Instructors.  On the job training available for qualified candidates. 

 
The best time to apply is at the very beginning of the semester you want to work.  New staff hiring and training is scheduled very early each semester, so don’t wait too long to apply.
