Arena 

The UNF Arena is a 5,000-seat basketball-style arena which is home to UNF’S Osprey basketball and volleyball teams. It is also the site for all indoor intramural programs such as basketball, indoor soccer and volleyball. Students are welcome to use the locker rooms, play basketball and volleyball during Open Gym hours. Four racquetball courts are also available for daily use by reservation.

Club Sports 

Th UNF Sport Club Program is advised by the Coordinator for Club Sports and housed in the Recreation office.These clubs are recognized student organizations under the Club Alliance Agency of Student Government and advised through Campus Recreation. Sport Clubs exist to promote and develop interest in a particular sport activity. Interests may be competitive, recreational, instructional or any combination of the three.

Eco-Adventure 

Eco Adventure involves several different areas, including gear checkout, outdoor trips, outdoor clinics, the Odyssey IV high and low challenge course, 5 miles of Wildlife Sanctuary nature trails, environmental education programs, birthday parties, John Golden Pavilion rentals, summer Eco Camp and the UNF Organic Gardens and Orchard. Eco Adventure is located in building 54 and Lot 100, near parking services.

Exercising with a group has provides lots of motivation. Our program has a huge variety of classes including Zumba, Kickboxing, Yoga, Spin, Flirty Girl, and Sweat Shop Circuit, to name a few. Drop in and participate at any time. No experience necessary and suited for all levels.

Intramurals 

Intramural Sports offers all currently enrolled, A&S Fee paying UNF Students (and UNF Faculty and Staff) the opportunity to participate in a variety of team, dual, and individual sports ranging from flag football and basketball to indoor soccer and volleyball to name a few. Intramural Sports is a great way to meet new people and stay active at the same time. Whether you enjoy structured leagues or informal activities, this is the place for you.

The Osprey Challenge Course emphasizes transformation through character development, adventure, and challenges of mind, body and spirit to better understand the value and responsibility as an individual, group and community.

Skate Park

Open for use by UNF Students faculty & staff from sunrise to sunset seven days a week. Features of the Skate Park include a half pipe, several rails and ramps for different skill levels. Recognize your ability, purpose & design of your equipment in order to maintain control along with avoiding harm to yourself or others.

Student Wellness Complex 

This state-of-the-art comprehensive wellness facility will house the largest fitness center in northeast Florida, as well as a 34ft climbing wall, and 1/8 mile indoor track. Special studios are designed to accommodate yoga and mid body activities as well as high energy and spinning classes. No matter the students’ fitness level, interests, or abilities, there will be something for everybody.

Summer Camp

Summer 2014 is right around the corner and UNF’s Youth Sports and Fitness Camp and Eco Camp are almost here! We are very excited for this upcoming summer and hope you are as well. This summer will be tons of fun for all campers, with many fun & exciting games along with field trips planned!

Recreation Staff Training

Recreation student staff are provided new-hire training for the department and their program area.  Additionally, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens training is made available to Campus Recreation employees on a semester basis.
