Fun, Adventure and Sports Available at UNF Summer Camps

The University of North Florida’s Department of Campus Recreation will offer two great camps this summer, including Youth Sports and Fitness Camp as well as EcoCamp.
Summer camp registration is now open for both camps. All registration will be done online. Visit www.unf.edu/recreation/camps/ to register for either of the summer camps. If you need help registering your child, call the Department of Campus Recreation at (904) 620-2998. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the UNF Student Wellness Complex, Building 61.
This summer marks the 34th year for UNF Youth Sports and Fitness Camp, which begins Monday, June 8, and ends Friday, Aug. 7, for children between the ages of 5 and 14 years old. The camp utilizes the state-of-the-art facilities on the UNF campus, such as the Student Union, UNF Arena, Student Wellness Complex, which features a rock-climbing wall, outdoor ropes course and zip line and more. Each day offers something different for campers, including flag football, stickball, tennis, track, soccer, arts and crafts, plus field trips every week to locations like Little Talbot Island, Adventure Landing, a Suns baseball game, bowling and more.
Parents can drop off campers at 7:30 a.m. and can pick them up by 6 p.m. The cost is $195 per week per camper for the general public. The cost is $125 per week for UNF students, $145 per week for UNF USPS employees and $155 per week for UNF A&P employees. A 10 percent discount is available for multiple children and active military (ID required). Parents will need to provide lunch or purchase the lunch option for an additional $35 per week, including a bag lunch on field trip days.
EcoCamp, a fun outdoor summer camp, will be held Monday, June 8, through Friday, July 31, for children ages 6 to 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $200 per week for the general public and $185 a week for UNF faculty, staff, students, active military and multiple children. Optional before and after care is $50 per week. Parents can drop off campers at 7:30 a.m. and can pick them up by 6 p.m.
