The University of North Florida's Department of Art and Design Potter’s Guild presents the "UNF National Juried Ceramics Exhibition," which will be on view in the UNF Gallery of Art from Tuesday, March 4, to Friday, April 18. This event is free and open to the public.
A free reception will also take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and located in Building 2, Founders Hall, Room 1001, on the UNF campus.
Juried by Bede Clarke, University of Missouri professor of art and 2014 Barbara Ritzman Devereux Visiting Artist, this exhibition will feature more than 50 works by nationally known ceramic artists from around the United States.
The mission of the UNF Department of Art and Design is to provide outstanding undergraduate teaching in the disciplines of studio arts (including painting, drawing/printmaking, ceramics and sculpture), photography, graphic design/digital media, as well as art history and to instill creative, analytical, applied and theoretical skills, while providing opportunities for transformational experiences such as internships, directed research, study tours and programs abroad.
