Continuing Education Offers Career Management Workshop

The University of North Florida’s Division of Continuing Education will offer a Career Management Workshop at the University Center on campus, beginning Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will meet every Wednesday evening for seven weeks.
The workshop, led by certified career coach Marilyn Feldstein, is geared towards individuals looking for a job, wanting to re-enter the workforce or looking for a second career. The seven-week workshop will help participants take charge of their careers and will cover the following topics:
â€¢ Learn what values, motivational styles and career interests you have
â€¢ Discover how you can pursue what matters most to you
â€¢ Develop a career plan to help you fulfill your goals
â€¢ Learn how to successfully marketing yourself
â€¢ Develop an effective resume
â€¢ Learn how to interview and negotiate salary and benefits
â€¢ Gain proven job search skills
Feldstein, president of Career Choices Unlimited, is certified as a job and career transition coach, a professional in human resources and as a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.
She has more than 20 years of experience in career development for both corporate and non-profit organizations. Feldstein is experienced in one-on-one and group coaching and provides outplacement services to individuals who have been downsized and to companies for displaced employees.
Cost for the Career Management Workshop is $499 (UNF alumni are eligible to receive a 10 percent discount).
