UNF Presents Unique Musical and Visual Experience
Contact: Joanna Norris, Assistant Director
Department of Media Relations and Events
Nationally known singer, songwriter and activist Anne Feeney and internationally acclaimed Swedish artist Julie Leonardsson team up to present a unique musical and visual experience through music and art from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, in the Andrew Robinson Jr. Student Life Center (Building 14), Room 1700, on the University of North Florida campus. This event is free and open to the public.
Feeney, better known as “the Union Maid,” says her music is designed to “comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.” The Pittsburg-based performer’s bottomless song bag draws on Irish, bluegrass, traditional, labor, social justice, pop, folk and contemporary material. In addition to the concert, Leonardsson, Feeney’s husband, will also feature his artwork, which has a labor and work theme.
This international art and music event is sponsored by the United Faculty of Florida and the UNF President’s Office. For more information, contact Stan Swart at (904) 620-1654 or email@example.com.
